Mainsail Arts Festival
Needs Enthusiastic Volunteers
April 17th - 18th, 2010

You are invited to participate and be a part of Mainsail this year! If you have volunteered before, we need your experience again this year. If you are new to volunteering, Mainsail is an ideal way to become involved in the community. Individuals, schools, civic organizations, church groups and local company employees are invited to assist. We need at least 250 volunteers so please get involved in this fun and exciting community event!

Between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm on Saturday* and 10:00AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday volunteers are needed for:

• Soft drink/water booths
• Beer/wine trucks
• Promotions/T-shirt sales booths
• Hospitality/Information tent.

*Note for Saturday only – Coke /beer/wine /promotions booths located in the south end of the park (closest to the entertainment) will remain open until 7pm – All others will close at 6:00pm.

All volunteer positions, excluding the Hospitality/Information tent, require the volunteers to be able to stand for 2 or more hours. Should your physical condition limit your ability to do this, you are encouraged to volunteer for the Hospitality/Information tent as this option does provide seating for volunteers.

New This Year……

• In an effort to make the volunteer sign-up process more efficient, we are using a new “real time” format this year that enables volunteers to select a location, day and time(s) that have open time slots. Should you select a slot that has its full complement of volunteers, you will be prompted to make another selection. This way you will know definitely that your selection has openings. You will still receive an email/written confirmation from the Volunteer Chair prior to the event.
• As part of our very special 35th Anniversary Celebration, all 2010 Mainsail volunteers will receive a complimentary show t-shirt and lapel pin. Please be sure to indicate the size you would like before submitting this form. These will be distributed at check-in.
• Volunteers at beer/wine trucks will be limited to one shift per day.
• If you are requesting to volunteer for Beer/wine sales, you are required to provide a Driver’s License on the volunteer form.
